Monday 2nd March – Windsurf * River Orwell at Levington – sunny.

Foil – 18.37 knot max, 15.39 knot ave., 2.61 knot hour, 9.26 knot mile, 12.14 km., 7.46 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 (LW) and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Bolt 6.50 m.

I got up and drove down to Felixstowe seafront to take some pics of a nice red sky sunrise, I snapped a few pics of around the pier before driving to the Cliff top car park to see the sun come up walking out onto the shingle bar to take some pics of the beach huts in the golden light, just lovely, I did get a pic chosen as a BBC EP but it did not make it onto the telly but was used on Instagram.
With Maeva,s mum under the weather we were having her for the day, the forecast looked good for a windsurf foil so I hoped to go to Levington fairly early so I could get back! Sorting my pics out took longer than I hoped so by the time I reached the marina around 9 every winger in Suffolk was already there but I did manage to park but sadly it did not look very promising with the wind looking light, shame really as it had been 15 knots! I was tempted out with my 6.5 although I should have rigged 7.5 and I don’t think that would have been enough either! I did get up and flying a few times but it was a complete waste of time so headed in and went home to spend the afternoon with the Granddaughter:)

Walk – Around Felixstowe ***

Mag had walked round to pick Maeva up and spent lots of time in the park so she was tired and not keen on helping Mag put down lots of bark chips, although we had fun with bubbles and selfie time with my camera. I then made her favourite cheese on toast cut into squares before she requested her little camera and we took loads of pics in the sunny front garden. We then had a walk to the cliff top in wall to wall sunshine with light winds, we then took her home but had a walk over to the playground on the nearby park which was busy with kids fresh out of school, we had fun on the swings and trampoline before returning her to her mum, we were knackered!!!
